Ukraine, Russia To Agree On Gas CooperationUkraine and Russia intend to agree on cooperation in gas sector.
Press secretary of Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin told this to the press.
He said that at the talks between Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko and Putin, the sides agreed the relevant memo. He also said that this memo will ground the agreement between Naftohaz Ukrainy national joint-stock company and Russian gas monopoly Gazprom.
It will describe all details and conditions of the gas supplies.
During the meeting, Tymoshenko promised that Ukraine will support Russia’s accession to the World Trade Organization.
The sides also discussed Ukrainian-Russian co-operation in gas transit.
As Ukrainian News earlier reported, Putin admits possibility to agree on long-term gas supplies to Ukraine.
On October 2, Tymoshenko left for Moscow to hold talks on gas supplies.
Tymoshenko intended to agree with Russian on withdrawal of mediators in gas supplies as of 2009. èñòî÷íèê: Ukrainian News Agency
